Established in 2019, One House founder, Marqueis Neely, a military veteran, prior police officer, and educator, witnessed many pitfalls for service members, veterans, and military families living in a rural area.  Marqueis shared the same concern as many others in the Blackbelt area, in that public planners in rural areas share limited views of the struggle of service members and veterans. In turn, limiting their ability to service veterans and their families in need. Therefore, Marqueis was prompted to establish One House, Inc to broaden the opportunities for assistance for service members, veterans and their families.

One House, Inc. serves as an advocate for service members, veterans, and their families for external resources, realizing that many are unlikely to have easy access to a variety of offerings and outreach efforts would be too great.
